High-growth textiles manufacturer projects multi-million turnover after accessing business support programmes in the Leeds City Region
There has been a boom in the popularity of cycling, health and fitness recently. As a result, the business has experienced rapid growth which has brought about challenges such as needing to increase their capacity and productivity. To assist with their high-growth challenges, the business has utilised various support programmes available in the Leeds City region. Restrap has benefitted from capital funding from the Leeds Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). They have also been able to access grant funding from the Manufacturing Growth Programme (MGP), and also fully funded business coaching from the Strategic Growth Programme (SGP).

Mike Forster, Managing Director of Trident Hydraulics added, “The capacity in the unit has increased by 30%, partly thanks to the grant provided by MGP by enabling us to develop our processes, we’ve seen a significantly increased appetite for new products across our markets. Our increased capacity has allowed us to fully capitalise on this increased demand.”

Shropshire brewery grows online sales through the Manufacturing Growth Programme
Using MGP grant funding, a consultancy project was implemented to support Hobsons Brewery Ltd in the development of an effective digital sales solution to enhance their online business. The project included the design of a new ecommerce platform from which the company can showcase and sell their products, creating user journeys and interactions that enhance the buying experience, improve engagement with the end consumers and drive awareness of the Hobson’s brand. It will also help to drive foot traffic to offline sales at the taproom, through the promotion of special offers and events throughout the year.

The objective of the company is to be amongst the Pathfinders in the modern methods of construction sector, providing a product which is carbon zero (or can be easily achieved with the introduction of some renewable energy), affordable to local authorities, easy to cost and process from enquiry to an installed home.
