Jane Galsworthy


Jane has a passion for enthusing and galvanising organisations to innovate.

Jane is the head of Innovation Solutions team within Oxford Innovation which manages innovation networks, collaborative innovation projects and provides support for technology and knowledge commercialisation on behalf of public and private sector clients. She is an experienced technology transfer and innovation professional who has directed many innovation-related projects including market assessments, technology evaluation, strategy development, innovation, and business planning.

Jane has a strong technical background in the physical sciences with specific expertise in chemicals, materials, and nanotechnology and their applications, and an interest and enthusiasm for technologies beyond these.

Dean Barnes


Dean has been responsible in recruiting the field team and guiding through rapid mobilisation of the Manufacturing Growth Programme (MGP) whilst leading and managing the overall delivery of both National and regional teams, while ensuring MGP achieve their overall complex contract targets in a manner that is fully ERDF compliant. Focusing on reputation, quality of clients engaged, and customer satisfaction is critical to our success. Working with the Managing Director to deliver the annual MGP financial plan, which includes regular reviews, reporting on revenue, costs, and expenditure, driven by monthly activity, impact and performance reports.

Dean has been helping businesses to grow for a number of years, in support of growth delivered to over 6,000 SMEs from securing funding for innovative high-tech companies to personally coaching high growth businesses. Assisting those high performing businesses with the potential to grow, supporting them to achieve their ambitions whilst keeping abreast of all modern manufacturing nuances are a must.

Away from work Dean is very much a football and cricket fan, time relaxing is spent reading a good Tom Sharpe novel, a motivating autobiography or watching a good thriller on T.V.

David Caddle


David leads a team of Manufacturing Growth Managers in the East and South East regions of England. He has spent his career working in and around high growth manufacturing businesses. His extensive career has culminated in his specialisms of Lean, Sigma Six, and Programme Management. David is passionate about manufacturing and the great experiences it has given him – “it’s a terrific thrill to see a product go from concept into service.”

Outside of work David loves the outdoors, and his hobbies include 5-a-side football, gardening, cycling, and walking.

David has a wealth of manufacturing support experience which makes him well-placed within the business to provide a top-quality service to SME manufacturers. With over 30 years’ experience building and managing operational teams, change management, performance improvement, sales and marketing, and customer service with a laudable capability for relationship building in both private and public sectors.

David has experience working across various sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Oil and Gas, Defence and Marine. He has held senior management positions in UK Companies, which included managing and growing a £10m blue chip operation for over 10 years.

In his spare time, David enjoys skiing, golf, travelling, and spending time with his family.

Nabila Khaliq


Nabila comes from a background of business analysis, working with the operational and financial teams to develop in-depth reporting and management information systems.

She currently manages the Project Coordinator team to support in delivering high levels of compliancy as required by the Manufacturing Growth Programme. Nabila also provides the business and data analysis need to support the ERDF compliancy, achievement of KPIs and advanced management information reports.

Her aim is to co-ordinate the many data requests required by complex ERDF projects with simple systems which are accessible to all and can grow alongside a dynamic evolving business.

When she’s not poring over spreadsheets or expanding her knowledge of workplace IT solutions, Nabila is also a reluctant runner and an enthusiastic baker.

Kapil Patel


Kapil spearheaded the financial creation of a start-up business and is an integral part of the Manufacturing Growth Programme. Kapil manages the financial setting up and closing of national, regional, and local grant funded and commercial projects. He is also responsible for submitting and filing all day-to-day dealings for the business.

With over a decade of financial experience, Kapil manages accounts with annual turnovers ranging from £10,000 to £30,000,000.

Outside of work, Kapil is kept busy with his young family and enjoys football, keeping fit, and eating loads of cake after burning the calories.

Amanda Johnston


Amanda’s key responsibility to date has been executing a sustainable marketing strategy to enhance the programme delivery of the Manufacturing Growth Programme. Providing first-hand support to the field teams and operation teams to support and enable the delivery of the programme to achieve delivery targets. Working with the Regional Director and Regional Managers to reach the programme targets, supporting stakeholder engagement and providing supporting messages into the marketplace. Amanda is responsible for the delivery of all internal and external communications, including website and social media platforms as well as supporting the engagement of key programme stakeholders.

Previously Amanda has worked on national and regional business support programmes as part of their marketing teams, supporting them with communications, creative visuals, and event activity. Other experience in a commercial environment includes developing brands, showcasing opportunities, and working with stakeholders to enhance company profiles.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her younger siblings, and going for country walks with her son, Husband and two English Bulldogs.

Paul Gosling


Paul has over 10 years’ experience managing complex projects in both the public and private sectors. his previous programme mobilisation and ERDF governance experience has been central to the creation and implementation of fully compliant systems for the Manufacturing Growth Programme. Responsible for the preparation and completion of numerous successful regulatory compliancy visits, his day-to-day work is focused on managing claims and maintaining high standards through internal auditing, SMT reviews and working closely with the whole Team.

Outside of work, Paul maximises his time with his wife and children, pursuing his love of travel and socialising with friends. When away from family, Paul can be found plying his trade in the Leicestershire County Tennis Leagues.
